Isabelle and your villagers will talk about a Meteor Shower if there will be an abundant amount of stars.

Note that just because Celeste is in your town, that doesn’t necessarily mean that there’ll be a lot of shooting stars. For our first Meteor Shower, we did it at least a dozen times. Shooting stars tend to happen in batches, so feel free to stick around for a while and wish on a number of stars. You’ll know it worked because the star will grow bright and get a bit larger. When this happens, hit the A button to make a wish. It shouldn’t be long before a shooting star makes its way across the sky. Ideally, you should be positioned so that the sky isn’t blocked by buildings or trees. Make sure that you’re not holding any tools, and use the right analog stick to look up into the sky. If a Meteor Shower is happening above your town, you can wish on the shooting stars as they fly across the sky. We’ll explain in this New Horizons guide. If you happen to see Celeste the Owl wandering around your town, it’s a good idea to start looking up for shooting stars. Occasionally on clear nights in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Switch, there will be a Meteor Shower in the skies above your town.
